The Olympic Torch

The Torch arrived in  Shetland today.

Quite a historic moment and one which many people came out to see. There were plenty of moments when you could get quite close and it was great to see the crowds gathering and gradually gathering at the leisure complex to see the couldron lit. There was one amusing moment when it looked as thought the flame was going no where at all, and the comment was, "well we'll just have to have the games here!" The breeze was just strong enough to prevent the flame being passed on the the lamp which was going to take it to the next destination. Here are some photos, including the moment it nearly got stuck here.
