As I continue to settle in Shetland, a place I have loved since 1971, I have been keen to record some of the thoughts and activities of this major migration. It is amazing how the journey unfolds, ups and downs but well worth it. It is wonderful to be here. I would like to pay tribute to Stuart Haves who introduced me to these Islands in 1971. Mr Haves died aged 68 in April 2012

Another lovely evening
Following a visit to the Bonhoga Gallery tonight where a brilliant new exhibition was unveiled by Janette Kerr called "Extreme Wave Theory" I caught this view over the Inn at Westings... of course I had to pop in for a pint too. (That is a pint too, NOT a pint or two!) Check out Janette's website to see some of her work.

Neil, lots of blogging, hope the reading goes well, loved the photo's. We have managed to turn from a drought to serious rain in no time at all. Getting ready for our bible marathon and I seem to have pulled some shifts in the middle of the night. Ah well. Keep smiling. Regards Geoff
